Pillar 1: Spiritual & Personal Growth

Focus: Internal transformation and discovery of purpose.

  • Destiny Discovery Workshops:Small group sessions to help youths identify their natural talents and spiritual gifts.
  • “Safe Space” Friday Forums:Weekly open-mic or discussion hours where youths can talk about life’s challenges without judgment.
  • Character Leadership Mentoring:One-on-one sessions pairing youths with older mentors to talk about integrity and life skills.
  • Prayer & Peace Room:A quiet, dedicated space in the center for students to sit in silence, pray, or reflect.
  • Biblical Life-Skills Classes:Teaching practical wisdom from the ministry of Jesus (e.g., handling conflict, forgiveness, and servant leadership).

Pillar 2: Academic Excellence

Focus: Removing educational barriers and improving literacy.

  • Digital Literacy Lab:Basic training on how to use Word, Excel, and the Internet for school research.Exam Preparation Boot camps:Focused study sessions for students preparing for major national exams (like the WASSCE/GABECE).
  • Academic Resource Center:A library of donated textbooks and study guides available for use at the center.
  • Stationery “Scholarships”:Providing basic school supplies (pens, notebooks, rulers) to students who cannot afford them.
  • Creative Writing & Public Speaking: Workshops to help students find their voice and improve their English communication skills.

Pillar 3: Compassionate Care (The CITACC Pantry)

Focus: Meeting physical needs with dignity.

  • The “Fresh Start” Clothing Boutique:A dignity-focused way to distribute clothes where families can “shop” for what they need.
  • Emergency Food Boxes:Pre-packed boxes of staples (rice, oil, etc.) for families in immediate crisis.
  • Hygiene & Health Kits:Providing soap, toothbrushes, and feminine hygiene products for students.
  • “Comfort Kit”: eases the daily burden by providing nappies, wipes, and nutrition, giving young mothers the strength to thrive alongside their babies.
  • Community Garden Initiative: (Future Goal) A small garden at the center where youths learn to grow food to stock the pantry

Pillar 4: Family & Career Support

Focus: Strengthening the community while students are in school.

  • “The Career Corner”:Professional resume writing and cover letter assistance for community members.
  • Interview Coaching:Mock interview sessions to help adults feel confident before a job meeting.
  • Entrepreneurship 101:Basic workshops on how to start a small local business or trade.
  • Adult Literacy Classes:Basic reading and writing support for parents during the morning hours.
  • Resource Referral: Connecting families to other local social services or medical assistance when needs exceed CITACC’s reach
